2015 marks my third year performing in Skate for Hope (SFH). This year also marks the expansion of the SFH cause to include support for all types of cancer, not just breast cancer as it was previously when SFH was founded over 10 years ago.

I was asked to join SFH in the Spring of 2011 after my father passed away from cancer in the fall of 2010. Being involved with SFH was a blessing and helped me to get through a very difficult time.

SFH, is a not for profit, 501 (c) 3, charitable organization and has raised over $543,000 for cancer research. Donations are tax deductible.

The Skate for Hope annual show, is a beautiful and unique figure skating event with a cast of Olympic & National Champion figure skaters that honors cancer survivors while raising awareness and funding for cancer research. This year's show is May 2 on the campus of Bowling Green State University.
