30 PARKS IN 30 DAYS

When Eric Mueller turned 50 in the fall of 2013, he decided to celebrate with a trip of a lifetime while raising money for the Lymphoma & Leukemia Foundation. Eric visited all 30 Major League Baseball parks in 30 days ending his adventure at Comerica Park. Eric raised $12,500 for LLS honoring his father who passed away in 2000 from Lymphoma (He covered his own expenses). In an interview, Eric said, “Its really amazing how many people are touched by blood cancer. It seems like everyone knows a relative or a friend suffering from this and as a result they all want to help. I’m really grateful for all the generous donations.”

Eric traveled by plane, train and automobile. At each ballpark, Eric combined his love of baseball with his love of food. Specialties of each park/city were reviewed in his daily blog prompting one friend to ask him, “Are you sure it’s not 30 pounds in 30 days?”

His adventures included a blessing from an Iman, an interview with Princess Leah, a meeting with former player Boog Powell, and a shout out by Vince Scully. In Arizona, the Diamondbacks invited him on the field for batting practice and he met player and lymphoma survivor Tony Campana.

Eric will have memories of a lifetime and LLS is appreciative of his generosity.
