Jordan Yagiela '11




William Campbell’s Detroit Elves:
Jordan organized a community outreach program for NFL guard, William Campbell, which raised $4,820 in monetary donations as well as four truckloads of clothing, toys, and other assorted items to distribute to Detroit residents. She worked with the Southeast Michigan Salvation Army and coordinated 15 additional volunteers to distribute the items. Jordan also worked with Detroit media outlets to promote program and is currently developing plans to apply for 501(c) nonprofit status.

Hoops for Harms:
Jordan also founded 4-on-4 charity basketball tournament to benefit Harms Elementary School in southwest Detroit. She contacted local media to publicize event and raised $525 in cash and $250 worth of books in 2012, $650 in 2013, and $1,237 in 2014. She is currently planning the Fourth Annual Hoops for Harms scheduled for June 2015.
