Amanda (Morris) Smith '01

As the newly elected Chairperson of Royal Oak's Crime Prevention Council, I worked with the Royal Oak Police Department, as well as with members of the city government, to host an informational event for Royal Oak residents. At our event, "Cops & Doughnuts," residents received crime tips from the Deputy Chief of Police and were able to get their crime-prevention questions answered. We had a great turnout and were able to hear directly from Royal Oak residents about what kinds of programs they'd like to see from our council in in the future. I was interviewed by the Royal Oak Review leading up to our event, as seen here: http://www.candgnews.com/news/crime-cops-and-doughnuts-top-fat-tuesday-discussion-90008
